BiCube (Business <= Innovation*Investing*Incubation) software and methology suppose that innovation infrastructure should support the search and stimulation of new ideas, the search of different sources of investing, and objective, rigid and careful development of teams/companies, implementing innovation ideas. We are going to develop universal solutions which accumulates accessible achievements of modern science and technology.

State and regional business-incubators, investing companies and funds, divisions of large corporations, running and controlling R&D projects inside, universities and scientific centers need the methodologies and software for support of all stages of business-idea from its initialization to commercialization.

Destination

BiCube should help these organizations in planning, monitoring, control and correction of innovation process to drive R&D idea to business-idea, and then help to develop the team/company which must implement commercial project. BiCube should reduce human efforts of these procedures, and provide to all involved people one language, one document collection, one understanding of requirements, goals, and procedures.

Development of methodology and related software product, satisfying the most needs of organizations and people, involved in innovation processes, and offering the system solution to the arising problems. The product should be able to dominate on the Russian market, and the strong position in the world.

Templates for all obligatory documents. Typical scenarios. Users: from inexperienced leaders of projects and managers with the weak knowledge of project specifics to the experienced chief executives, who need up-level statistics and analytics to observe the landscape.

Advantages

Any “live” project has own changing information, data bases. It is possible to analyze the data (documents) and their changes automatically or by query, this is – to classify, compare, measure, etc. Parameters from this analysis are used for estimation of project status and its risks, for actions and decisions. The system uses also other information which is put in manually, or imported from other sources (reports to upper structures, schedules of events (coming from inside and outside), account data, etc.), but the main source for analysis is internal project data which should be developed naturally, in any case, according to project content and business-plan. This is the radical difference of BiCube from the other related programs like project management programs (MS Project and others). This is the source of huge decrease of human efforts, and obvious increase of depth and objectivity of analysis and innovation support effectiveness.

Status. Problems

The kernel of product is being developed – monitoring of projects, it is planned to release alpha-version and start experimental exploitation by July 2011.

The speed of development is stressed by insufficient financing.

Classification

BiCube is not the ordinary project management program, it does not manage internal implementations of projects, although will be able to integrate with some such programs and use their data. BiCube is projects monitoring system to support “full product cycle” of innovation idea from its initialization origin to its commercialization.
